Get The Plaque Ready
Barry Bonds (30) – While the media might chose to be skeptical about his stats due to his possible link to illegal steroids, we at The High Court will reserve judgment and simply say “Wow”. His hitting skills are unmatched in this era, and if he is ultimately found to be clean, the argument can begin about his place among the top 5 hitters EVER.
Juan Gonzalez (26) – Often overlooked while playing in Texas, Juan Gone put together a remarkable career considering he has essentially been finished since turning 30. Any sort of renaissance in the next few years would make him a shoo-in for Cooperstown.
Give Him A Tour
Jim Edmonds (9) – Across the board, we like Edmonds’ case for the Hall. But it seems as if he will be finished in the near future due to persistent injuries, and that would leave him lacking for overall Hall-worthy numbers.
Don’t Wait By The Phone
Moises Alou (0) – Excellent fastball hitter who has always battled injuries. A feared hitter, but his career has had too many ups and downs to create the kind of stat line needed.
Garret Anderson (0) – Unless Garret can hold his body together long enough to reach 3000 hits, his career will be seen as very solid, but not Hall of Fame caliber.
Johnny Damon (0) – Read above.
Steve Finley (0) – Very good defensive player who never seemed to get his due when it came to Gold Gloves. The offensive production has been very good for the past decade, but not up to our standards.
Luis Gonzalez (0) – Inspirational story of a mediocre player who elevated himself to All-Star status well into his career, but not a Hall of Famer.
Shawn Green (0) – Actually is a potential darkhorse candidate because of his age. At only 32, and with about 1700 hits and 300 homers already, he could have a decent case some day if he gets another 1000 hits and 150 homers. We think even if that happens, the HOF outfield will be too crowded for Green.

He has been hated. He has been under constant suspicion. But this fact is undisputable: There has not been an offensive player as dominant as Barry Bonds since Babe Ruth was in pinstripes. A seven-time MVP (and it could have been nine), Bonds is one of the all-time greats. (espn.com) |

You may not remember this, but Juan Gonzalez is a two-time AL MVP (‘96 and ‘98). An absolute RBI machine in Texas, Gonzalez drove in 128 or more runs five times, including a high of 157 in 1998. (mlb.com) |
